Who are we?

We are a small organisation made up of experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapists. LPPS offers consultation and psychotherapy for adults, children, couples and adolescents.

Additional Benefits

We offer treatment in different languages including British Sign Language. Some members are also medically qualified which means we have access to psychiatric consultation where needed.

All our members are registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and are bound by its strict code of ethics.

Tricia Bickerton

Tricia Bickerton is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist trained both at the Guild of Psychotherapists and at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council ( BCP). She works as a supervisor at WPF Therapy and has been working in private practice, with adults with a range of emotional difficulties, for over thirty years.

Sophie Boswell

Sophie Boswell is a psychoanalytical psychotherapist, trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy and the Tavistock. She is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council. Her background is in child and adolescent psychotherapy. She spent several years working within the NHS and social services, and currently works in private practice with adults in east London.

Marion Bower

Marion Bower is an adult psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained with the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She works with adults, adolescents and couples. She also offers consultation to parents who have concerns about their children. Her special interest is in addictions, including eating disorders, particularly binge eating and binge drinking and she is co-editor of ‘Addictive States Of Mind’ published by Karnac (2013).

Rachel Chaplin

Rachel Chaplin is a Psychoanalyst and a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist trained at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a member of the IPA, the Institute of Psychoanalysis and is a Training Therapist and Supervisor at the British Psychotherapy Foundation. She is registered with the British Psychoanalytical Council. She has worked in private practice for twenty years with adults struggling with a range of relationship and emotional problems. She is a Consultant for the London Clinic of Psychoanalysis and teaches for the Institute of Psychoanalysis, the British Psychotherapy Foundation and at University College London.

Nicola Cloutman

Nicola Cloutman is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a Senior Member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation, and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She has extensive experience in working with adolescents, and is a psychotherapist at the Brandon Centre. She also works in private practice with adults experiencing a range of emotional difficulties. In addition to long term psychoanalytic psychotherapy, she is trained to practice shorter term Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT).

Sally Cowley

Sally Cowley is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy and the Tavistock Clinic. She is a Fellow of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She has worked previously in an NHS psychiatric clinic for children and families. Since 1987 she has been in private practice working with adults with a wide range of emotional and relationship difficulties.

Philippa Cronin

Philippa Cronin is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She has a background in the arts and previously worked as an art therapist in an NHS forensic mental health setting. She works in private practice with adults and is also a member of the Inner City Centre.

Mary Crust

Mary Crust is an adult psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained with the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She has a background of working in community mental health settings with children, adolescents, families and adults and also has an interest in the mental health issues of refugees. She has been in private practice as a psychotherapist for nearly 20 years, working with adults and older adolescents.

Susan Hickman Evans

Susan Hickman Evans is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She has a private practice in Beckenham, South East London. She is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BCP). She has worked within several NHS mental health settings, including specialist mother and baby work and addictions services. As a psychotherapist she has worked for 12 years at the Tavistock in the Adult Department, Gender Identity and for the Portman Clinic and as Programme Organiser and senior clinical lecturer.

Janet Fernando

Janet Fernando is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a Senior Member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She has extensive experience in working with Deaf adults in the NHS and is registered to work as a freelance therapist for BSL Healthy Minds. She also works as a clinical supervisor for the Albany Trust and has experience in working with the LGBT community. In addition to long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy, she is trained and accredited by the BPC to practice shorter term Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT).

He is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and is an Associate of the British Psychoanalytical Society and a Professor in the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex. Estela Rubinstein Gloger

Estela Rubinstein Gloger is a psychoanalyst and a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytic Society, a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association and a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), and isregistered with the British Psychoanalytic Council(BPC). She worked for many years in the NHS and now works in private practice with adults struggling with a wide range of emotional difficulties. She teaches for the Institute of Psychoanalysis, BPF and other psychotherapy organisations, and is a consultant to the London Clinic of Psychoanalysis.

John Glyn is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. He trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy, is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation, and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). He is Lead Psychotherapist at the Cassel Hospital, an NHS specialist personality disorder service. He has previously had NHS psychotherapy posts at Charing Cross Hospital and at the Brentfield Primary Care Medical Practice and has worked at Open Door, a psychotherapy service for adolescents and young adults. He also works in private practice in West London.

Zora Goodland

Zora Goodland is a psychoanalytical psychotherapist, trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation, and is registered with the British Psychonanalytic Council (BPC). She is also a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Brandon Centre where she works with adolescents and young adults. She works with adults who are struggling with a variety of emotional difficulties. In addition to long term psychoanalytic psychotherapy, she is also trained to offer short-term Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT).

Beverley Greaves

Beverley Greaves is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF) and trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She has extensive experience of working with Adults with emotional and relationship difficulties. She currently works in both private practice and in the NHS. In private practice she provides longer term psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Within the NHS, she provides assessments and clinical supervision. She is also an Advanced Practitioner in Mentalization Based Treatment.

Dr Dylan Griffiths

Dr Dylan Griffiths is a Psychoanalyst and Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytic Society and registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). He was a training therapist, assessor, supervisor and teacher at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy and continues these roles at the British Psychotherapy Foundation. He has a wide range of experience with adults, families and adolescents, and alongside his private practice of twenty-three years he has been involved with inpatient and outpatient CAMHS both in the NHS and the private sector.

Nicola Griffiths

Nicola Griffiths is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF) and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). Prior to this she was a Psychodynamic Counsellor having trained at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation. She was Chair of the Selection Committee at the BPF from 2013 – 2015, selecting candidates for training. She has a background in Mental Health and also ante- and post-natal teaching in the NHS. She has been in private practice for 20 years working with adults with a wide variety of emotional difficulties.

Mario Guarnieri

Mario Guarnieri is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. He is a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). He has a background of working in the arts, which includes working as a dramatherapist in forensic mental health within the NHS. He divides his time between the NHS and private practice.

Judith Jackson

Judith Jackson is an Adult and Adolescent and Child Psychoanalyst, and a psychoanalytic psychotherapist.   She is a Fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis and a Member of the Child Psychotherapy Association. She was formerly Director of Training at the Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy, Chair of the Foundation Course in Psychoanalysis at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and is currently Chair of Child and Adolescent training at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.   As well as teaching at the Tavistock Clinic, the British Psychotherapy Foundation and the Institute of Psychoanalysis, she teaches via skype, groups of psychotherapists in South Africa, Australia, Poland and Italy. She sees adults, children and adolescents and their parents in her private practice.

Katalin Lanczi

Katalin Lanczi is a psychoanalyst and psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained at the Institute for Psychoanalysis and the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytic Society, a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association, and is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). She has worked in the NHS and been in private practice since 1985. She has taught extensively on courses on psychoanalytic theory and practice, and between 2007 – 2012 was Director of Training at the Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy. She is a Training Therapist with the BPF, Tavistock and IPCAPA Child Therapy and Westminster Pastoral Foundation trainings.

Dr Angel Santos

Dr Angel Santos is a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society and the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is a Consultant Medical Psychotherapist at the Maudsley Hospital where he runs a day hospital for people suffering from personality disorders. He supervises adult and medical psychotherapists and lectures on the Maudsley MRCPsych course. He is a training analyst with the Association of Child Psychotherapists.

Caroline Taylor-Thomas

Caroline Taylor-Thomas is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, trained at the former Lincoln Centre for Psychotherapy and also the Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF).  She is a senior member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and is registered with the British Psychotherapy Council (BPC).

She is a Training Therapist and Therapy Advisor for WPF and also works as a clinical supervisor.  She is also regularly engaged in teaching and supervising psychotherapists and counsellors in Dublin. She works with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties.
