Finding the right psychotherapist

Finding the right psychotherapist to work with is probably the single most important factor in a successful therapy but this is often left to chance, such as via a google search.

To find the right psychotherapist for you the London Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Service offers consultation meetings with a senior LPPS therapist.

The meetings will focus on an initial in-depth exploration of your situation. Following your consultation the therapist will be able to make an informed and considered recommendation for you and, where agreed, a referral to an LPPS psychotherapist or psychoanalyst.

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists throughout London 

We offer consultation, referral and psychotherapy for adults, young people, and couples. We are made up of experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapists and psychoanalysts, all of whom are affiliated to the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and are subject to a strict code of ethics. Many of our members are qualified to be training therapists and training supervisors for people undertaking major trainings. LPPS members have extensive experience in the mental health field, many coming from professional backgrounds such as psychiatry, psychology, social work within the NHS and voluntary sector.
